A=X+Y+Z

Albert Einstein had a formula for success. Can you believe that?
One of the greatest minds of all time developed a math formula for success!

I suggest you read this carefully—this may be the most important math equation you will ever see.
Einstein said, “If A equals success, then the formula is: A=X+Y+Z.
X is work.
Y is play
Z is keep your mouth shut.”

Einstein no doubt had an excellent sense of humor. Let’s look at the 3 variables in this equation. They are:

1. Work
2. Play
3. Keeping your mouth shut!

1. Work: Albert Einstein had a tremendous work ethic and because of that gave more to society and modern science than any person in recent times.

2. Play: Einstein, however, did not work 24 hours a day and made time for fun and relaxation. His idea of fun may have been different than yours, but that doesn’t mean it still wasn’t play.

3. Keeping your mouth shut: Finally, my favorite part of his success formal is to keep your mouth shut. I genuinely believe that the person who talks the least says the most. A friend of mine complains that the woman he is dating talks too much. I don’t know how to break the news to him; the problem is not that she talks too much. It simply is the fact that he is irritated that he isn’t able to talk. Now, let me just say this is not a generic man and woman statement. I am speaking about a specific person I know. His desire is to constantly talk and because he likes to talk so much, he will talk in circles. If you let him talk long enough he will repeat the same thing three times and then contradict himself. His desire is not to hear but to be heard.

Albert Einstein, on the other hand, had nothing to prove. He felt no need to be the “Chatty Cathy” he could have been with his knowledge. It wasn’t important to him to talk to everyone he met and talk over their heads to demonstrate his IQ. Instead, he learned the value of quietness and solitude.
Shift your mindset from being a talker to a listener. It has been said that you can make more friends in five minutes by becoming interested in others than you can make in five years of trying to get others interested in you! How do you become interested in others? You ask questions and then keep your mouth shut!

Dale Carnegie wrote the best-selling book How to Win Friends and Influence People. One of the key premises of this book was that everyone’s favorite subject is actually themselves and that the sweetest sound to their ears is the sound of their own name. Einstein knew this and realized he could influence others by choosing his spots to speak and validating others by extending them the courtesy of listening.

Youth power at core

A nation is powered by the youth, from the economist point of view the youth works to grow the GDP, demographic dividend for our nation will be delivered only when we have youth power propel the nation. The real need of the society today is to value the youth and empower them to lead us, help them with meaningful education and skills and make them live their aspirations.

Youth engagement in every policy and development initiative will lead to sustainable development. To build a great workforce and have youth be the catalyst for the development of the nation we need to invest in our youth. Yes, it is not mere brick and mortar that is termed as investment, what we need is the right ecosystem for the personal and social development of our young people. Building meaningful relationships, offering an opportunity to lead and access to investment in the dreams of the young will help the nation reap the dividend of national development.

Good Economics or Good Politics, you may call it what you want...all need to have youth at the core. Once the core is strong we will be able to build the best possible model for development. Let us all tread carefully and ensure that the dreams and aspirations of the young people are not lost, if this becomes a reality we will really have a rotten core. Age catches up and ideas too are fresh when delivered by the youth!

Can India Harness Its Knowledge Capital Despite Its Scale and Complexity?

Published: February 21, 2013 in India Knowledge@Wharton
Recent estimates by India's Central Statistical Office have pegged the country's GDP growth for the current fiscal 2012-2013 at 5%, the lowest since 2002-2003. Finance ministry officials and some economists are hopeful that it will be around 5.5%. But what no one disputes is that the heady days of high growth of 8%-9% are nowhere in the horizon.

So what will it take to ensure that India regains its growth momentum? How does one build a twenty-first century knowledge economy? Addressing these issues, a recent conference in New Delhi titled, “One Globe 2013: Uniting Knowledge Communities,” focused on various aspects like education, skills development, technology, innovation, infrastructure and health and how these impact economic development. Speakers noted that three key global trends shaping economies are connectivity, information and globalization. How well countries harness the opportunities arising from these will define their success. The ability of a nation to use its knowledge capital will also be a key factor in its economic development.

Given India's demography, harnessing its knowledge capital assumes even greater significance not just for the country but also for the world. At present, more than half of India's population of 1.2 billion is less than 25 years of age. It is estimated that while the global economy will experience a skilled manpower shortage of 56 million by 2020, India will be one of the few countries in the world with a working-age population that exceeds its number of retirees. The TeamLease India Labor Report 2009 estimates that the country's population will increase from one billion in 2001 to 1.4 billion by 2026, and 83% of this increase will be in the 15-59 age group. This means that in the next 12 to 13 years around 25% of the new workers entering the global workforce will be Indians.

The call to Leadership

If you have what it takes to be a leader, you'll be unfulfilled in any other role.

The call to leadership requires:

1) Competence. You must recognize your gifts, and then channel your energies into where you're most likely to succeed. That means acknowledging your limitations and helping equip others to fill them. To do that, you must be secure.

2) Courage. Scott Peck said, 'The best decision makers are those willing to suffer the most over their decisions but still retain their ability to be decisive.' Good leaders are not necessarily the cleverest or most creative people, they're just the ones with the courage to step out and go first.

3) Clarity. Your life's vision may come at once, but the steps are revealed over time. Don't allow a lack of answers to leave you paralyzed. Be clear about your goal, even though you're not certain as to the details.

4) Coaching. Without a good coach you'll never be as good as you could be. If you're hoping to learn everything from personal experience, all the best; you'll have to outlive Methuselah!

5) Character. You can lead without character, but you can't be a leader worth following. Character provides the moral authority to bring together the people and resources needed to get the job done. Your talent has the potential to take you places where your character can't sustain you.

That thought should keep you on your knees!!

Empty Words

I don’t write of the 2000 Galaxies nor the Dark Matter that is six times the visible cosmos, nor the way that Dark Energy can be ‘seen’ by its gigantic shadows; I was too dim for that elite band. I write of the scholars bloated by words so they see neither the visible images nor the beauty of mystic religion’s poetry, so their only wares are empty words that are the narcotic of the slumbering congregations hummed asleep on Sunday mornings.

After Sandeep had completed his work as Representative of the Duke of Edinburgh to Empower the Youth of India, he has taken on the task of working with his old friend Ted Falconar whom he met in his home town Dehra Dun, where Ted was an Officer Cadet at the Indian Military Academy. Creative Infinity Mind with its vast scope and use of Oceanic poetic thought, which is the secret of Mystic Poetry, being the essence of Religions, is the ideal training. Sandeep has made a striking start on this through numerous groups on the internet. Another movement has started in the USA , independent of India.

The creative infinity way of thought  used by the greatest minds in science  is the very harvest of life and an ideal; training for the youth of India. By contrast the word worlds make existence dismal,  many people being engaged elsewhere in recreation, sports and other escapes from the creative life. Whereas Rumi wrote of the joy of the nights from which most of his beautiful ideas came. Mysticism is the supreme beauty of Religion whose poems like the beauty of the  equations of science are the most important part of them.

I have followed the sport of car racing. The handsome drivers are idolized, the real intelligence is in the car designers. In 2012 one of the innovations was called KERS:  kinetic energy  recovery system entailing taking the waste energy from the severe braking, and using it to increase the top speed of the car. This is a clear  example of using creative infinity mind. Another by the owner of Lotus,  Colin Chapman was to hollow the floorboard to induce the ground effect enabling his  cars to go round corners far faster than other cars. The sport of car racing is a continuing improvement in the speed and beauty of the cars, which is seen everywhere in technology and science: aircraft, spaceships, all spurred on by creative infinity mind.

In contrast to the wonder worlds of Creative Infinity Mind are organisations that use words too much and lose the ability to visualize or use infinity mind, namely Schools, Churches from Seminaries, the Law with their precedents.
