One person whose contribution I would particularly like to highlight is Sandeep Dutt, who joined us as Chairman and Executive Director of the Bhadrajan Artisans Trust in 2012. He has facilitated many of the landmark achievements we celebrate today. - William N Bissell, Founder & MD Fabindia
The Fabindia School is located in Bali, Rajasthan, India. Initially, the school was to educate the children of Fabindia's rural artisans, who were part of the company's supply chain. Over time, the school expanded its reach, and now it offers quality education to over 750 children from across the region. The school provides education from kindergarten to the 12th grade and follows the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) curriculum. The Fabindia School's unique approach to education has received recognition and acclaim from various entities. In 2009, the Rajasthan State Education Department declared it 'the best school in rural Rajasthan'. The school's success has also inspired other companies to start similar initiatives, promoting the cause of quality education for all. The Green Schools Award Program by the Centre Of Science selected the school for national recognition, listed as the Best Schools of the World award in 2022, and has wide recognition.
