A presentation on the International Award for Young People (IAYP) was conducted by Mr Sandeep Dutt, National Director IAYP . Rajat, a Gold award holder, welcomed the him. Mr Dutt started his presentation by asking a simple question, Why are we here? Students gave different answers and the Director was satisfied with all the answers. He was very impressed when Kunal Bhuwalka, a student said that we are here for fun. Mr Dutt said that fun is fundamental in life. He spoke in detail about the basic philosophy of the Award Program and the different sections of the award. He stressed on the fundamental principle that any one who does the Award must live with the Award and stressed on participation and self discovery. Students interacted in depth and asked a lot of questions and all were answered to their satisfaction.
The whole presentation was based on the principle of Keep it simple. At the end the students were shown a motivating film which gave the idea of the philosophy of the Award Program. The talk ended with the presentation of a memento to Mr Dutt by the Principal. In her address, to the students, the principal spoke about the importance of the Award Program.
